An experimental typeface named ‘Caifan’. Some characters are unaligned. It features Stylistic Alternates, Ligatures, Contextual Alternates, and Discretionary Ligatures. Also includes some special characters.
Basado en el disco de Poincaré, las xilografías “límites circulares” de M.C Escher y utilizando el dibujo del perrito (el nahual aullando) hecho por el pintor Gilberto Aceves Navarro. En esta imagen el nahual intenta pasar por la partición regular del plano y sufrir una especie de “metamorfosis” (Metamorfeame) transmutándose en un ave (“Ayer Me Dijo Un Ave”) y un gato (“De Noche Todos los Gatos son Pardos”). Al final, en el centro un mono enorme se está poniendo blanco. Todo esto para anunciar que la tipografía “CAIFAN” ha sufrido una ligera metamorfosis en sus trazos y ahora también cuenta con más caracteres.

Based on Poincare’s disk, M.C Escher's "Circular Limits" woodcuts, and the hauling nahual drawing by painter Gilberto Aveces Navarro. In this image, the nahual attempts to traverse the regular partition of the plane and undergoes a kind of "metamorphosis" (Metamorfeame), transforming into a bird ("Ayer Me Dijo Un Ave") and a cat ("De Noche Todos los Gatos son Pardos"). Ultimately, in the center, a huge monkey is turning white. All of this to announce that the "CAIFAN" typography has undergone a slight metamorphosis in its strokes and now also includes more characters.
